This year, MDRN Concrete Specialties took center stage by transforming a luxury home's garage in Ogden, Utah, into a masterpiece of durability and style. Our recent project not only highlights our expertise in concrete coatings but also sets a new standard in garage aesthetics and functionality.
A Closer Look at the Project
For this particular luxury home, MDRN Concrete Specialties was tasked with the challenge of delivering a high-performance, aesthetically pleasing garage floor coating that could withstand the demands of a highly utilized space. The goal was to create a surface that was not only functional but also complemented the home’s luxurious design. The choice was clear: a top-of-the-line polyaspartic coating known for its durability, stain resistance, and quick curing time.
The process began with a thorough preparation of the existing concrete surface.
Our team meticulously repaired any cracks and smoothed irregularities to ensure a flawless application. The preparation stage is crucial, as it guarantees the coating adheres properly and lasts longer.Following the surface prep, we applied a base coat of polyaspartic material, chosen for its exceptional bonding properties and resistance to hot tire pick-up, chemicals, and abrasions. After the base layer, we broadcasted decorative chips across the floor to enhance its visual appeal and to provide additional texture for slip resistance. The final step was the application of a clear topcoat, sealing the chips in place and giving the floor a glossy finish that reflects the interior lights beautifully, amplifying the overall luxury of the garage.
